Yuri gets the award for Member of the Moment this time, because she has been here for such a long time, and still remains active, and extremely creative. She never says anything bad about someone, or their characters, and her deep respect for everyone is what makes her so great! Her characters are always unique and fresh, and she's never afriad to play them with less advanced role players. With all of her dramatic plots and crazy ideas, she is a great asset to this site. A great mentor for new players, Yuri is without a doubt, spectacular.
Pink, better know as Pinkers, or Pinkalicious- is a cutie pie French Trotter stallion, with a solid black body. You know, except for the hot pink eyes he has, and the man-made hot pink spiral running down his back left leg. He was known as a freak before coming to Flaming Passions, where he found a friend in a strange mare, named Holocaust. They became friends, and Holocaust showed him the Royal Healing Heavens, where they met the king, Zagan. Pink was allowed to live there, with Holocaust, and he soon realised he might like her more than just a friend. But when Holocaust met head-on with the Infection, and nearly died, he had to save her life. And because she was so grateful, ( and turned on ), they ended up having twin fillies. Now that Holocaust is gone- what will come of Pink? You'll have to wait to find out.

Time and Nuk, being an extremely adorable couple- win the Couple of the Moment award this time. Though their romance is far from perfect, with their herd lands being eliminated, and having had Pinball Wizard take Timeless; they still mange to find love, and strength in each other. When Time was stolen, Nuk went crazy, desperate for her company once again. Time wasn't too fond of Pinball Wizard after that either, until things began to settle down a bit, when Nuk and Time realised nothing could seperate them- not even their new found "friend" Pinball Wizard. Theirs is a truely touching, and inspiring story.

She has a crazy hectic life, yet still manages to find time to be active with her characters, and run the site. She is sweet, and kind, and totally dedicated. Main Event: Plague/Blight
Terras Involved: All
Characters Involved: You may involve your character if you wish. This is not a mandatory scheme.
Cause: Extensive rainfall far to the North has caused a flash flood which comes into Flaming Passions, carrying the Blight into the floodplains, infecting the majority of the drinking water.
Acquired: By drinking water carrying the blight.
The Blight: Enters the bloodstream through the victims intestines, and spreads to the spinal cord and finally the brain. Is NOT found in saliva or other bodily fluids.
Contagious: Only if blood if an infected individual was ingested, or blood to blood contact. It must have an opening into the body.
Detectable: Infected water tastes lightly of copper, though ONLY to MARES.
Symptoms: There are five stages of the disease, the duration of each depends entirely upon the health and genetics of the individual.
Stage One: The victim's sclera['white' of the eye], tongue, lining of mouth and nose turns black. Numbness in varying degrees throughout the body as the infection initially spreads through the veins.
Stage Two: Fever sets in, the victim suffers from deliria and hallucinations when awake, and fever dreams when asleep.
Stage Three: Fever and deliria fade, leaving the victim fairly lucid, but with amnesia. Not all cases progress past this stage.
Stage Four: Fever returns, burning hotter and faster than the second stage. The fever cannot be broken by conventional measures. Extreme cases may lose the ability to see, speak, hear, taste, or smell as the high fever damaged the brain. Unconsciousness, at first off and on, then consistent.
Stage Five: Stage Five: As the victim is about to die the body creates and releases a bizarre chemical throughout the bloodstream. The chemical leaks straight out to the skin, and changes the color of the skin and fur, creating markings that trace major arteries and veins over the victim’s body. And finally death, when the victim succumbs to the fever. NOTE: Mod permission is required for a character to survive this stage!
Duration: As short as a day, rarely as long as a month. Typically under a week.
Antidote: The white leaves of the [fictional] Byosii plant. One leaf for every 100lbs of weight, and can be taken during any stage of the Blight. Overdose, or leaves picked longer then ten minutes before consumption will kill in hours.
Where Found: The Byosii plant is rare, though it grows in all seasons. It is found ONLY in the heart of the Black Forest.
Side Effects: The Byosii plant is a very powerful aphrodisiac. They will be alive, awake, and turned on. Oh my.
The Markings: VERY rare, so don't think for a second you can get them on all your chars for kicks. They trace the major veins close to the skin, and can either be black, white, or red[no combos]. They are not inheritable, are are more of a chemical tattoo than anything. [you must have a mod's permission to have markings]
Extra: While it is possible for a victim in the first two stages to find the antidote themselves, once amnesia sets in they will no longer recall that they are sick! They will therefore require the assistance of another equine to get to the Black Forest and acquire the antidote. Once unconscious in the fourth stage, another equine would have to chew up the leaves and force-feed it to the infected character. The black sclera coloration is permanent, and will not fade if/when the blight is cured, and can be used to identify a past victim. A character may only become sick once! After the cure, their immune systems build up antibodies.
Notes: -It's a rather most devious way to utilize the floods, and provide everyone with muse candy. The potential for blackmail, treachery, and unusual interactions would be huge.
-Even WITH mod permission, the character still needs the antidote or they will die. The reason for the mods choosing is to limit the markings, which are meant to be rare.
- Any infected character that does not get the antidote WILL DIE. If you have them reach unconsciousness alone in a random terra, THEY WILL DIE. It's that simple.
